Energy North has offered a fixed price of $2.169/gal for propane for the upcoming season (assumes about 2,500 gal and monthly auto-pay plan). Anyone have any insight into whether is is a good price or not?

Check out the Our Town Co-op. I use around 1300 gals a season and will be paying $1.765 this coming season. That's co-op member price through Eastern Propane, locked in.

I locked in to $1.58 with Rhymes. The price is higher now. At the time this was lower than Our Town and I mentioned it on the forum with little response. My usage is 2,000 gallons.

My usage is 2,000 gallons.I was tempted by the lower price with Rhymes, but Eastern told me they wouldn't refund any gas in my tanks and would charge me to remove them. They know how to make it difficult for a customer to change, even though in hindsight, it probably would have been worth it in the long run. My previous residence came with a propane tank so we had the flexibility to shop around.
