Hi!
Noticed on their sign out front the restaurant is will be open weekends only starting 5/8. I believe after 7/4, they open full-time.

We drove by tonight and it was busy! Maybe just certain weekends? What other specialties do they have? Mostly seafood?
They usually have prime rib and IIRC steaks.

This menu is a couple of years old but you can get the idea...

I've seen the term IIRC a few times on this board but haven't been able to figure out what it stands for. Could someone spell it out for me?
Love this forum- I've been lurking around for a week or so and finding so many great places to try. nkiar

Thanks for the quick reply! I can now return to work and not be obsessed by possible definitions for IIRC! nkiar

Don't tell everyone about the best kept secret on the Lake! LOL. It's a secret that can't be kept, the cat has escaped the bag. Although I still run into countless people who don't know where the place is. Sandy Point is outstanding!! They had to deal with 12 of us recently on a busy Saturday night. Everything was perfect from start to end, not one of us had a complaint. They were very busy and were able to accomidate (<---spelling?) all of us very nicely. Everyone at the table had appetizers, several rounds of drinks, lobsters cooked various ways and dessert all across the board without a single mishap. That is impressive to me considering I know what happens behind the scenes when it's jamming on a Saturday night and the server brings in the order for a party of 12 that looks like 30 with all the sides and temps etc! The only thing complaining after that night out was my wallet  The server was outstanding, personable and polite and took time out to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. If you haven't been to Sandy Point you don't know what your missing, get there ASAP :liplick: I promise you won't regret it!
