Need a New Dock

I have a fairly good sized "U" shaped dock in Meredith that is categorized as "Seasonal" by the DES. Even though this dock has never been removed, because of ledge it sits on posts instead of pilings.

I am looking for any recommendations on who can replace it. I have has Lakes region and Watermark out to see it. Is there anyone else I am missing?

Unless I'm misreading this, isn't "Seasonal" supposed to have "posts" so it can be lifted. To me "pilings" means permanent.

You may want to try Center Harbor Dock & Pier(253-4000) or Docks Umlimited in Meredith.(279-3116).

At the same spot in the buying process. In addition to the ones that you have posted, I talked with Raise A Dock out of Sanbornville (sp?). very impressed with them as well.

We just had a dock built by Winnipesaukee Marine. They were by far the cheapest and the dock was completed on time and looks great, I would highly recommend them.

All I ever hear is people hiring someone to build a dock for them... now if you need pilings driven that is one thing not every one owns that equipment. But comeone, a season dock isn't hard to build folks.....

Hell I have a season Articulating dock and I repair it and will someday replace it myself, If DES considers it seasonal, and you can do all the cutting etc on land the do it yourself....

I really appreciate all of the input. I will give a couple of these guys a call. I would stay away form Docks Unlimited. I have heard nothing but horror stories about them.

In terms of doing the dock my self, I wish I could. One side is 36 ft by 12 ft and has "I" beams and rocks under it. It may sit on posts, but this job is much to large for me to handle. I don't have the equipment.

The foolish previous owner put the dock at high water level, which means it floods every year. It gets damaged every spring and repairing it is a pain.
