Summer is here everyone - and News 9 and the Citizen picked up that Ben Affleck was at Jackson Star in Meredith this weekend.Citizen Article (http://www4.citizen.com/june_2004/June_01_04/news/meredith_06.01.04b.asp)

I can't find the old posts, but don't I recall Sam Elliot has been around here filming something? A friend thought she saw someone who looked a LOT like him at Patricks recently and I swore I recalled that discussion having taken place at the old forum. Am I remembering wrong?

You are not remembering wrong. Sam Elliot was a thread a while back. He is/was in town for a movie. For some reason, I am not able to get to the archives to find it though.
I should get out more. I would love to meet him!

It was in the Boston paper today that Ben is dating a girl from Newton, MA.
Her family has a place on the lake. It does not say where, but could be in the Meridith area. We might see more of him this summer.

Ben is always around in MA since he grew up here. I'm sure we'll all see him around now that he is no longer bennifer! :o)

Adam Sandler, at Tbones in Laconia, Thursday evening, 8/14. Saw him walking with his son from the bar area out to the deck, and back to dining room. Very few people realized who he was.

He is here often. His family has property in the area. I sold his brother a watercraft a few years ago.

Adam is a Manchevegas kid. Family still lives there. He went to central with some friends of mine that I play hockey with.

I saw a Celebrity while driving on I-93 a few days ago. It had a few rust spots on the doors but sounded like it was still running well. :laugh:

All jokes aside, I am curious... did (or does) Britney Spears have a place around here or not? A lot of my guests ask and I never know what to tell them.

She has class and is not a moron. She has a degree in criminal justice. Just another young adult getting in on the action. No criminal activity involved.

That's the price for being famous. You take the good with the bad. People should respect their (celebrities) privacy, but many people only think of themselves. He looks really happy though. :laugh:

Yes, that is the young woman. She was actually on her way home from her job and her mother called to tell her he was there. He was very cordial after everyone recognizing him. Regarding his face in the picture, perhaps you have never seen any of his SNL skits or his movies. Get out more often or stay up and watch TV. Find some humor in life and don't be such a tight ****.

As far as I know, no one comped his meal. He was acutally a good tipper to the server. Not cheap and didn't take cheap shots at anyone.:look:

Last Fall, Adam Sandler pledged a million dollars to the Manchester NH, Boys and Girls Club. Maybe he could be persuaded to forget about Manchester and donate the million to the WOW Trail in Laconia and the Weirs, instead! Laconia needs the help more than Manchester. Other than the Saint Vincent DePaul store, what has Laconia got? Even the Laconia Airport is located in Gilford.

I've seen pretty much all of his skits, movies, and various other performances. I think he is quite entertaining and I respect his privacy enough that I wouldn't accost him for an autograph if I saw him trying to enjoy some time with his family, and I surely wouldn't go out of way and drive some place to hassle him for an autograph and picture.
