There are now lots of events posted in the calendar above. I cross-referenced many guides to gather the information, but there may be some mistakes. (Many of the guides and sites have different information, still checking on a few dates etc.)
There are so many fun things to do this summer. (More than I realized.) Looks like there is something for everyone!
If there is something that has been missed, please add it to the calendar. It very easy to use, thanks to Don! :coolsm:

Alton Canoe and Kayak Race
Main Street - Volume XX Number 6 - June 2004
The Alton Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring its annual Cane and Kayak Race on Sunday June 27 at 10 a.m. with Parker Marine. Register by June 9 and receive a race t-shirt. The race begins in the water at the bridge on Route 28, launch across from Alton Auto (next to Masonic Temple), paddle the Merrymeeting River into Alton Bay, two portages. Lifejackets are required. Categories include; racing, recreation, kayak, co-ed, single, men, women, adult and child, and senior. Registration fee is $15 per canoe or $10/single. Great prizes will be awarded and water (? isn't this taking place on a river? :confused: ) will be available for all racers. Call us to have a race form mailed to you or register on race day starting at 8:30 a.m. Get outside and paddle the lake. If you want to race and need a watercraft contact us at 875-0109 and will refer you to a boat" :look:
