View Full Version : Lobster Roll at Wolfeboro Diner
My wife and I recently had Lobster Roll Specials at the Wolfeboro Diner on Main St. and were pleasantly surprised. The roll was packed with claws and real Lobster meat, no fillers. They were excellent and the service was prompt and courteous. The diner is quaint and very clean. We look forward to returning.

We usually hit Wolfeboro Diner for breakfast. :liplick: I’ve always wondered about their lobster roll. Figured that they must be good if people were coming in at breakfast to pre-order them for lunch! Can't wait to try one!

My family and I frequent the Wolfeboro Diner and we've never had a bad experience. The food is great and the service is too. We often boat over there from Moultonboro with our company and they always enjoy it too.
Where are they?
Thanks.

I just found an address of 5 N. Main Street, phone 569-2997. Found it on: http://www.mytravelguide.com/restaurants/ctrestaurants-8519801-United_States_New_Hampshire_Wolfeboro_restaurants. html. (I hope it's okay to post links here, I don't think I've tried it before..............)

I think they're only open for breakfast and lunch! Every time we were walking downtown looking to try a new spot for dinner, they weren't open. Anyone know their hours?

Summer: 7-2 Mon-Sat, 7-Noon Sun.
I think in winter they are closed on Tues and Wed.
And yes, the lobster rolls are fabulous. Labor Day weekend is usually about the end of their doing lobster rolls. They do one last weekend of them on Columbus Day weekend. It's one of the secrets of Wolfeboro. I guess the word is getting out. If you want one for sure, yes, order one at breakfast for later.
They are located on Main Street near the bridge. Across the street from Dive Winnipesaukee.

I believe that they close at 2:00 pm, but I can't back that up. Next trip over I will check.
51 Mill Street is a good bet. McDude and I had lunch there a few weeks ago. We both had the haddock and it was super.
51 Mill Street is where Loves Quay used to be.
(I am guessing the address is 51 Mill Street.)
It was a great day to sit and look at the Bay and Canal. Great friend, great food, what's not to like! :D

We had breakfast at the Wolfeboro Diner this morning and mentioned this thread about the lobster rolls. They will be serving them this weekend! :liplick: While you're in Wolfeboro, why not stop by the Vintage Race Boat Regatta (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5119)! It sounds like fun!
Take a photo for us if you can.

Believe it or not, although we've been summer vacationing in Wolfeboro for 28 years, we'd never set foot in the Wolfeborough Diner or its predecessor (IIRC, The Mast) until just recently; we don't do lunch out very often, and when we do ... well, there was something that always struck us as uninviting about this place.
But we were craving lobster rolls, remembered seeing these posts a while ago, and finally broke down and got some to take out -- they were FANTASTIC, and thanks so much for mentioning these 'best kept secrets' right in our own backyard.
We'd been going to Garwood's for our lobster roll/lobster salad fixes, but although we're still very high on Garwood's, the Wolfeborough Diner's lobster rolls beat them by a mile and are much less expensive. We also once ventured out to Waldo Pepper's a couple of years ago and were very disappointed -- and ticked off, since the Weirs is quite a distance to travel from Wolfeboro just for a lobster roll -- to have found the place closed on the Tuesday after Labor Day, with no notice either here or on the restaurant's website. We've been expecting to try the new location, which isn't as much of a trek from Wolfeboro, but will wait a while and stick with the Wolfeborough Diner, at least until the kinks noted on the thread about the new Waldo Pepper's have been worked out.

I've been going to the Wolfeboro Diner (Mast Landing) since I was a kid... but only for breakfast. I'm headed up for a vaca next week and so will have to put the "lobsta" roll for lunch on my list of things to do!
