Hi all,

I was out on the lake yesterday and stopped at a marina to fuel up for the poker run next Saturday. I don't want to mention the marina and get anyone in trouble.

Anyhow, I pulled my jetski up to the pump; that would be my 3 seat jetski that is registered as a boat in the state of New Hampshire. :) The attendant told me that he could not fuel me due to water quality concerns. At the same time, he was washing the gas off the stern of a boat (into the water) that he had spilled gas on. This one seems tre' weird. Anyone run into this one before? Does this make any sense at all?

Regards,
Jetskier

A few years ago there was talk about fueling issues in Paugus Bay. There was concern that two-stroke motors were dumping a lot of raw gas and MTBE into the bay. The city of Laconia draws it's drinking water from the bay. Back then all jet-skis were two-stroke. I don't know of any law that was passed regarding this.

Thanx for the reply...I have a 4 stroke, no issue with unburned fuel and oil going into the water. At least, no more so than a boat.:D
