Is it just me, or does anyone else find it kind of ironic that one of the recently defeated speed limit legislation supporters (Lagos/Common Man chain) are one of the card stops in the Easter Seals Poker Run next weekend?

That is interesting.Sounds like damage control to me."We really didn't mean to exclude your group".Intersting too that I have not seen one post from the the most vocal supporters Fat Jack and Evenstar. For whatever its worth, seems like some of these people only used the forum for that one issue and then they were gone.

Well you could look at it as ironic. But also remember this is a poker run...and not a race based on the out right speed of a boat. Sure people will run as fast as they can from location to location, but in the end speed limit or no speed limit this event would happen...........

The water run requires about 50 miles to complete a round trip. There are 3.5 hours alloted to the run so an average speed of about 15 MPH is required. That's well within any proposed speed limit. You could have even more time if you started at Alton Bay (you have to end at the Naswa)

I'd rather be Citgo than the Easter Seals. The registration fee is $45 and I assume Easter Seals gets a big chunk of that. But 50 miles at about 1 MPG and $3.00 a gallon is $150.

Relax, I'm just joking around, I know it's for a good cause and many of those boats would be out on the water burning fuel anyway. Plus Easter Seals will make a bunch of money off the raffles.
