New favorites include Awakenings Espresso Café, Canoe Restaurant and Tavern, Christmas Island Steak House, Corner Deli & Pizzeria, LAGO, and Sisters "3" Gourmet.
There are only 500 tickets available and as of Tuesday, there were less than five dozen left, said Werda.
Tickets for the 14th "A Taste of the Lakes Region" are on sale at Hector’s Restaurant; Quik Laundry; Laconia Savings Bank, Laconia branch; Caldwell Banker Steve Weeks Realtors; Caldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; Laconia Electric Supply; the Greater Laconia-Weirs Beach Chamber of Commerce; The Winnipesaukee Exposition Center, and from any Altrusa member.
The tickets are only sold in advance of the event and no one under 21 is permitted.
"Until you’ve been to one you cannot appreciate how much food the restaurants provide," said Werda. "There isn’t anyone who goes home hungry."
