Imagine what the state would do to the average citizen…

The DES said Atom violated six state laws, including failure to install "adequate erosion controls on the property;" not following the construction sequence of the agency’s Alteration of Terrain permit; and discharging waste and placing fill into a surface water of the state without a permit. All the towns around the lake have their share of problems with developers. These guys live in another state and do they really care what happens? Well they do if it effect their pockets. If it's not in their back yard, who gives a hoot!

Before long, there'll be a strand of milfoil looking for that "plume of sediment" to take root in.

New chapter - The chemical erosion fix...

What's a little PAM in the Lake?! (http://www.citizen.com/april_2005/04.23.05/news/laconia_042305i.asp)

Questions:

What's with the LRCT (http://www.lrct.org/income-expenses.html)?

Did not realize that conservationist were not against chemical usage?

Thought the LRCT was against mass residential expansion and slope development? They expressed disdain for the waterfront condos in Gilford and Long Island.

Guess the operative word is was, as in, depends on what was the definition of was!?

A few mainlanders still take their water from the lake and may be concerned about this. :rolleye1:

Doesn't Akwa Vista plan to install a swimming pool overlooking Winnipesaukee?

Among those draining "chemical solutions" into the Lake, Akwa Vista would be the last with health concerns. :rolleye2:

Well when the promise of big tax producing properties are in the balance this is no surprise.

You'd think the town would do a little homework on the developers themselves and see what kind of outfits they are dealing with. Last thing they should be doing is giving the nod to somebody who has done hack jobs in other places.

How do you market a project claiming all these amenities when you dont have the permit. Seems like they are mis-representing what they are selling. Better change there website, marketing, and definatly the price of the lots.
