We just got back from the Alton FD ham & bean supper. Our party of 6 had a good meal and a good time, and the proceeds were certainly for a good cause.

The better half and I also went, and agree that the meal was excellent. The apple flavored beans were outstanding!!! Looked for a really loud and crazy group of six... couldn't decide which group of six you were..!!!!!
We were there just after six and there were about 4 groups of six!!!

Hopefully they made a good amount for their equipment. Thanks, DRH, for your support of the town.

We were there at the same time, then. Our group sat by the 4th bay door, near the dessert table. I considered walking around and asking each guy there if he was "upthesaukee", but decided that probably wasn't such a good idea! ;)

DRH, you should have studied the ForumFest I photo, Upthesaukee is in the group shot!
You would have enjoyed meeting him, my husband and I did.

Yes, RG, you're right. I forgot about the group photo. I checked it today and now I know what upthesaukee looks like!

DRH, I got the email, and yes, I do look forward to meeting with you. I even said to my wife, I wonder if that's DRH, and also made the comment that I didn't want to look "foolish" asking if anyone in the group was Don. We'll get to meet you yet, neighbah!!!! ;)

Sorry you didn’t see us Saturday night Upthesaukee. When I was a child, I was caught dumping a mouthful of beans in the trash. I was then forced to eat what was left in the pot. Needless to say, I have a strong dislike for beans now. Besides that, I couldn’t deal with three guys tooting in such a small home!
